GenBill requests camera access solely for scanning barcodes and QR codes to identify products or bills. We do not capture, store, or upload any photos or videos from your camera.

When you grant GenBill access to your contacts, we import and securely store your entire contact list on our servers. This is intentional and central to how GenBill works — your contacts become your customer base inside the app.

With your contacts stored, GenBill enables:

4. Media / Photo Library Permission

GenBill requests access to your device's photo library for the following purposes:

We access your photo library only when you explicitly tap "Upload Logo" or "Upload Signature". We do not scan, read, or store any other images from your device. Only the selected image is uploaded to our secure servers and displayed on your invoices.

You can revoke media permission at any time from your device settings. This will prevent you from updating your logo or signature until permission is re-granted.

Your data is stored securely on our VPS servers hosted at genbill.in. We implement industry-standard security including encrypted HTTPS connections to protect your data during transmission. Your business data, contacts, and financial records are private and accessible only by you.

We do NOT sell, rent, trade, or share your personal information, contacts, or business data with any third party for commercial purposes.

8. Data Deletion

If you wish to delete your GenBill account along with all your data — including your stored contacts, bills, invoices, customer profiles, uploaded logo, signature, and all business records — you can request deletion by creating a support ticket on our web app at genbill.in. Our team will permanently delete all your data within 30 days of the request.

9. Data Retention

We retain your data as long as your account is active. Once you request deletion, all your data including contacts, bills, invoices, customer profiles, uploaded logo, signature, and all business records will be permanently removed from our servers within 30 days.

GenBill is intended for business use and is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, please contact us immediately.
